My husband lost his job this week. At first it seems like your whole world has fallen apart but yesterday, only 3 days on from when it happened, he came home, played with the kids in the garden, had a roast dinner and went to bed when he damn well felt like it. He looks amazing too. Stress is not good for the body or the soul. So everything does happen for a reason doesn't it. My thoughts turn to the people who are left working at that place and the shit they have to put up with, not from the customers but from the boss with a god complex and a complete disregard for anyones feelings but his own. One word, karma.
Anyway, yesterday the weather was glorious and spring was so very definitely in the air. With all the bank holidays, weddings and Easter in April, the kids seem to have a lot of time off in April. Is it time to get your kids pics updated? For £45 you can get a 2 hour location shoot ( home, park, beach etc), you will receive three 8 x 10 prints and if you share the shoot with a friend then you will both get three 8 x 10 prints but pay just £35 each!

Kippers, Frilly Knickers and ITV daybreak....
The randomness of my days amazes me all the time. With one thing or another I didn't make it to fat class this morning. The result wasn't going to be as bad a last weeks weigh in but I did miss the announcement that Carole has got into the finals of Slimming Worlds biggest loser!!! 17 stones lighter and still losing. You go girl!!!!
This week has been a bit horrid. My hubby was made redundant. It sucks that he lost his job but I'm glad he's out of that place. His boss is a horrid specimen of a human being. So I've given him a few days to feel sorry for himself and then he gets slapped around the chops with some wet kippers. Fair play to him though, he's got the wheels in motion about finding alternative employment. Just a hic up in this crazy life.
I caught up with Natasha to write a press release and to design an invitation to our Wedding Showcase (26th march, 12 - 6, Model Me Salon, Shakespeare Street, Southport. We were very well behaved and didn't deviate too much. We were then going to Model Me Salon to take a group picture but on route Gemma called to say she was on her way to London! Daybreak on ITV want her to go on tv in the morning to debate children's pamper parties in the salon. Good or bad? I've got to go with the side that knows, having 2 young girls myself, how much they love being pampered and having nail varnish on. Let them play. If you're against it then maybe you should take dolls off them too, just in case they think about having a family too soon.

All Things Wedding Competition, Wow! How Cool?
I've dipped my toe in and now that I've typed these words I am now waist high in the world of blogging!!! It's something I've been meaning to do and to be honest I've been putting it off just because it was something else to have to check on BUT I'm liking the designs you can do on here and why not have your diary immortalized?
So here I am. A photographer. It been a wild journey but things are really starting to happen. I've teamed up with 3 lovely ladies and together we have the power of 4 (more powerful than the power of 3, it's true). Role call......Gemma Hodgson of Model Me Salons (http://www.modelmesalon.co.uk/). She has not one but two Salons in Southport where one can get pampered from head to toe. Go in and say hello.
Then we have the lovely Janet Marsh (http://www.eventhorizons.org/). Janet is an Events & Wedding planner. Need her to negotiate a deal for your big day? With her feminine charms but proverbial balls of steel she'll get you the best deal out there. She also makes amazing Vintage Bouquets. Check back next week for the photos i'll be doing of them.
And last but not least we have the lovely Natasha Davies (http://www.natashadaviesphotography.co.uk/). Natasha and I are both governors at the local school and only realised late last year that both of us were photo nerds. Since then we have discovered that we are both slightly mental but have a very weird kindred spirit thing going on. We both have our seperate businesses but work together on various projects and are soon to launch http://www.enveeevents.com/ (see what we've done with the N & the V there?) , it should be up and running by April but please fell free to kick us up the arse if it's not.
We all got together to start www.facebook.com/allthingswedding . A place where you can pretty much find anything to do with weddings. Photographers, Hair & Beauty, Event Planning, Flowers, Invites, Bands etc etc. A one stop shop if you like. Today we lauched a huge competition...please read on.......
